Plan of Action Paper
Honestly, I think I have selected a great topic about which there is a lot to say. Research is going well. Not only I have found good articles about language acquisition, I have also found an interesting video about the subject.
So far, eLibrary has been the only web search engine I have used and it has been very productive. So far I have five articles: three of them are from serious newspapers 9New York Times, the Washington Times National Weekly and CNN) and two from a parent's magazine. In addition to this the article, i have found a book; Words and Sounds in Early Language Acquisition, which has some of the pages available online and a Youtube video n which two psychologists debate bilingual education. I find all these articles very interesting and useful for my research paper. Even though I already have a lot of information, I would like to find more parents' perspectives ( what thy think about it, if they think it is beneficial for their children etc.) I think I can fin this kind of information in blogs.
At first, the research in the articles was a little bit hard: I only found a couple articles that seemed to be the only ones available on my topic. But that changed when I realized that I was not using exactly the right words to research my topic.
As far as my primary source is concerned, I am planning on doing a Facebook survey that I will send to my friends in France. Indeed, I come from an International School, so every one of my friends is bilingual, and most of them have grown up in a bilingual/ bi-cultural environment.
